Can't Stop Shoplifting

by Pamela Arenson
(Geneva Il. 60134 USA)

I am a shoplifter. I can't seem to stop. What can I do?

----------------------------------------------------

Like any other compulsive behavior, shop-lifting is based on anxiety. You can’t simply will it away by saying that you ‘must stop’. You need help and if you don’t get it, you will have a criminal record.

Speak to a therapist who is familiar with this behavior. Often anti-depressants can be helpful. There are also support groups that are specifically focused on shop-lifting. You must reach out and get the help you need, but it is available.

All the best

Bev
