As a therapist and counselor specializing in addictions, I have gained invaluable experience with aboriginal issues, correctional facilities, halfway houses and rehab facilities.

I specialize in all impulse control behaviors: drugs, alcohol, gambling, food, sex, shoplifting as well as depression, co-dependency, dysfunctional relationships, parenting, anger and stress management.

As a therapist and counselor, I have the designation of Certified Canadian Counselor (CCC) from the Canadian Counseling and Psychotherapy Association, Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ICADC) as well as Internationally Certified Clinical Addiction Counselor. I’m also a motivational speaker and presenter, life coach and recovery coach for relapse prevention, and have published numerous articles. I’ve been interviewed on many radio and TV shows as well as being a former talk radio host of my own show (Get a Life with Beverley Glazer, on CJAD 800), until I realized that I was the one who had no life –

I discovered the world of impulse control behaviors when I was interning, and I never looked back....

When someone’s life is out of control, and they reinvent themselves it's amazing. I witness miracles. I know of no other specialty that’s so rewarding.

“From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your support and understanding – most of all for believing in me. I never met you, but I feel that I’ve known you all my life” – KD

How Effective Counseling Works

Clinical studies have shown that the most effective counseling for impulse control behavior is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy The way you think determines what you do, so with effective counseling techniques, empower yourself and change the way you've been thinking and reacting. You learn to think in a more positive way. This is not 'positive thinking'. It's 'power thinking'.

Effective counseling techniques are not only for immediate issues. Once you learn the techniques they're with you for life.
