I Shoplift and I Need Help

by Anonymous

I shoplifted a bag from a shop and removed the tag . The Security officer saw me on TV and caught me and I admitted my crime instantly and asked for forgiveness. I did not deny anything and admitted my fault.

My self esteem has gone down . I have a small lovely daughter and a caring husband. Who is a highly qualified man. I am truly sorry fro my antisocial behavior. I will never do this kind of silly act in my life.

In the last two months I have not been well. I did not do well in exam and since then I was absolutely down. I don’t’ feel like talking, eating, or doing anything at home. I no longer go out and mix with others. I do not dress up, and don’t go to anybody's house. At the age of 42 I have been committing so my mistakes in life.

I am sorry for everything. My husband consulted a lawyer and my primary physician has given me a certificate. I truly need some advice.....

Not the end of the world!
by: Rita Y

Look, its not the end of the world!

So you did something unlawful "big deal", so does everyone else at least 100 times in their lifetime.

Even famous people do it.. Just have a laugh about it & put it behind you. Maybe from now on take baby steps going shopping eg: take your husband with you or go alone when you urgently need something. Keep your head up!

There's Help 4 U
by: Ryanna

I know what you're going through because I've been there. You are suffering from guilt and shame.

A lawyer will get you out of trouble and a doctor can tell the court that you are OK, but you are not OK. You need counseling.

I've been in counseling for shoplifting addiction and although I was very embarrassed to go at first, it was really helpful.

You need to talk to someone who understands what you're going through. You are not a bad person, you just need help.
